Biography
Nenad Ljubotina
Born in 1970 in Belgrade, where he lived in his early days. His musical life began at an early age, when his family moved to Slovenia.
He was enraptured with playing violin, so he enrolled in music school in the city of Nova Gorica. He successfully concluded his musical education in 1986. In 1987 he moved to Belgrade, where he started to play in a folklore group, and as an admirer of folk and ethno music, he studied and played mostly folk music from the Balkans. Two years later he returned to Slovenia and as a student at Ljubljana University he met the group Sukar.
The group invited him to join the folklore group, where he started to play tamburitzza bisernica and continued playing violin. In 1991 he joined the group Šukar and became one of its most solid members. In the group he is the only member who, besides singing, plays three different instruments: bisernica, brac and violin.
