Biography
Peter Lozar
Peter was born in 1973. His family comes from White Carniola - Bela Krajina, where the tamburitza kind of music has strong roots and it is a symbol of its cultural and historical heritage. The music from Bela Krajina has a special place in Slovene culture. That was the reason why he started to play tamburitza cello in the folklore group Emona. There he has begun to study Slovene folk music and to perform on different stages around the world (Europe, Egypt, and U.S.A.).
During his time playing in folklore he co-established the tamburitzza group Vibra, which played ethno music from Slovenia and other countries.
In year 2000 he delightfully joined the group Šukar, at first as the bass player. Later he started to play his instrument - the tamburitzza cello.
